Vita Huset, “The White House,” offers comfortable extended-stay apartment accommodations for vacationing and business travelers alike.
This typical Vermont 1880’s home has been divided into four discreet apartments which we rent to travelers staying four days or longer. The longer you stay, the better the rate, including monthly.
During renovation, we followed the “lagom” of the Swedish Gustavian style. Each apartment has this bright and serene feel and is designed with your comfort in mind. Vita Huset’s downtown location is a short walk to Newport’s restaurants, shopping, and the beautiful Lake Memphremagog.
Guests will be treated to refinished floors, Oriental rugs, abundant lighting through windows restored to their century-old beauty, and open-air porches shaded by a historic red oak tree (the second largest on record in northern Vermont and the reason I fell in love with this house!) All apartments are self-catering. Free Wifi and on-site parking is available, in addition to a common, complimentary laundry room.
We will be happy to assist you and make suggestions to help you make the most of your time visiting the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Just call, text or email us!
Vita Huset invites guests for a minimum stay of four days (four to seven days are at the same weekly rate). Monthly rates/seasonal rentals (for summer fun and skiing) may be negotiable. Small (toy breeds) adult dogs may be allowed for an additional fee of $75 per week (please check out our pet policy and call for pre-screening.) 9% VT sales tax added to all stays fewer than 30 days. Cleaning fees are waived if the apartment is left in the clean condition in which it is rented. See our policy here.
Because of Covid-19, all check-ins are self-serve. We will send you instructions a few days before your scheduled visit. Check-out is at 11 a.m.
Vita Huset is a non-smoking property.
We hope to see you soon!
